I've been a professional saxophonist, flutist and clarinetist for over 45 years performing with various groups and as a soloist. I have a music degree from the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music in California and have performed and recorded various styles of music both internationally and throughout the U.S. I perform and record mainly in the blues, jazz, R&B, soul, gospel and contemporary Christian genres. I am available to perform and record as part of a group or as a soloist.
Don Jacobsen is a saxophonist, flutist, and clarinetist with over 45 years of professional experience, known for his soulful versatility across jazz, blues, R&B, and soul genres. A graduate of the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music in California, Don has performed extensively throughout the United States and internationally. His career includes both solo and ensemble work, with notable performances alongside or opening for acclaimed artists such as Cornelius Bumpus, Bobby McFerrin, Doc Severinsen, Grant Geissman, and David Garibaldi. Now based in the Nashville area, Don continues to perform and record actively, including his current work with Nashville-based group The Lilliston Effect.
