Alex Christy is a songwriter, singer, and musician from Southwestern Pennsylvania, now based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Inspired by artists like Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers, Jason Isbell, and Zach Bryan, he began writing and performing music again in the spring of 2023 after a long break, releasing his first song Gas Well in December of that year. From there he began to broaden his range to play country classics from Waylon Jennings, David Alan Coe, Hank Williams Jr. and more, which helped to inspire more original music. Other currently released songs are Tracing (a song about working life), Carolinas (a love song to a person and some incredible places), and Larimer (a dark but true story from family history). His other influences include bands and artists like The Wonder Years, The Menzingers, and Bruce Springsteen.
